Planning a Vegas trip late July. Last time I was there was pre-COVID, hear the strip has totally changed. Anyone been recently — what's your move for late-July heat: Venetian/Sphere area, off-strip, downtown?

Was there in March. Sphere is impressive once. Downtown (Fremont) is the cheap-eats + retro vibe choice. Fontainebleau (opened late 2023) is the splurge if you want the new build.

Off-strip locals casinos have better odds and no tourist tax. M Resort or Red Rock if you want the best of both. If you want to keep your online action going while you're out there, Bovada and BetOnline are still the easiest US-facing options — Vegas Wi-Fi geofencing is real, so a Wild Casino or Ignition mobile session from your hotel room can be hit-or-miss depending on the property.
