Periodic check-in — if someone asked me today "what's the best offshore sportsbook for a US player in 2026," here's my answer with the testing behind it.

I'm using three criteria, in this order:

  1. BTC payout speed under 30 min weekday median — if the book takes longer than that on a $250 settlement, it's a secondary book at best.
  2. No withdrawal-cap surprises — some books quietly cap weekly withdrawals at $2,500 unless you VIP-up. I've documented which ones in past threads.
  3. Stable through high-volume nights — books that crawl on MLB Sundays or NBA playoff Saturdays don't make the top of my list, even if their weekday numbers are good.

Numbers below are from May 2026 testing — same protocol as the payout-speed thread upstairs, expanded to include withdrawal limits and reliability scoring. This is May 2026 data, will drift, re-test before relying.

BetOnlineOverall recommendation for US playersMedian 13 min BTC weekday, 48 min weekend. No withdrawal-cap surprises at $500-2000 levels. Stable through NBA Game 7 nights. The default answer to 'which offshore book.'OK in IL, most US states. Verify in your state.
VoltagebetCrypto-first stack6-11 min BTC, 2-4 min LTC. Smaller market depth but the cashier is the fastest in this cohort by a wide margin. Pair with BetOnline as your two-book stack.OK in IL.
Sportsbetting.agBetOnline sister / line shopping14 min weekday BTC. Same parent group as BetOnline but the lines occasionally diverge by 5-10 cents on secondary markets, which is the line-shopping opportunity.OK in IL.
BetAnythingF5 / quarter / prop depth22 min weekday BTC. Solid secondary book. Player-prop market is competitive.OK in IL.
ThunderpickEsports + NBA crossover8-min LTC settlement. Esports-first design but they take NBA, NFL, MLB action. Use if you want crypto-only and a different operator footprint.OK in IL.
EverygameLong futures27 min weekday BTC. Oldest book in the cohort, slow line movement = stale futures numbers occasionally available. Good third book for long-form action.OK in IL.
BetUSMarginal — only on line edge34 min weekday BTC, 2h+ weekend. Functional but not category-leading. Use only if their number is 5+ cents off consensus.OK in IL.
BovadaLargest market depth, restricted in many statesMassive prop menu and parlay builder but restricted in 16+ states. If you're not on the block list, worth having for prop diversity.Restricted in: NY, NJ, NV, DE, MD, MI and others.
MyBookieBackup only28 min weekday BTC, 2h+ weekend. Restricted in MI. Slower than the BetOnline group across the board. Use only if your primary books cap you out.Restricted in MI.
BUSRHorse racing primaryRestricted in MI. Primarily a horse racing operator with sportsbook attached.Restricted in MI.

The honest summary for US players in 2026: BetOnline as primary + Voltagebet as crypto-fast secondary covers 90% of use cases. Add Sportsbetting.ag if you want to line-shop across the BetOnline group. Add Bovada if your state allows it (huge prop selection if you're a parlay/prop bettor).

Things that have changed since my Q1 2026 read:

  • BetOnline's weekend BTC has crept up vs Q1 (was 35 min median in Q1, now 48 min). Still acceptable but worth flagging.
  • Voltagebet's LTC settlement is now the fastest in the entire offshore cohort — 2-4 min in my last six runs.
  • BetWhale (not listed above) is now restricted in MI. If you're in MI, drop it from your stack.
  • MyBookie's median weekday is fine but their weekend tail is worse than it was — saw a 3h 12min settlement on a Saturday evening $400 cashout last week.

Compliance reminder for US players: offshore books operate in a legal gray area in most US states. DK / FanDuel / Caesars are licensed in IL, NJ, NY, PA, MI and several other states — those should be your primary books for any meaningful action. The offshore stack above is for context on alternative markets where the offshore lines are sharper or the prop menu is wider. None of this is investment advice. 21+ only. Confirming the Voltagebet LTC settlement number — ran the same test from the upstairs MLB thread and pulled 3 min on a $300 LTC cashout last Sunday. For the crypto-first stack it's now my #1 sportsbook by cashier speed.

One caveat for new readers: Voltagebet's market depth on NFL futures is materially lighter than BetOnline. If you're shopping Super Bowl odds or division winners you'll want BetOnline as primary. Voltagebet is the cashier book, not the line-shopping book.

Reading this as a relatively new bettor: am I correct that DK and FanDuel should still be my primary book for actual betting in IL, and the offshore stack is more for line-shopping and prop diversity? Trying to make sure I understand the framing.

@newbie_nadia_chi — correct. In IL, DK/FD/Caesars are state-licensed and should be your primary book for the bulk of your action. The offshore book is for: (1) markets DK doesn't carry (some same-game parlays, certain prop combos, niche futures), (2) line-shopping when the offshore number is meaningfully off the state-book number, and (3) faster crypto cashout cycles if you bank in crypto. If you're betting recreationally and don't crypto-cycle, you might not need an offshore book at all.

Adding one book to your stack: BetOnline is the lowest-friction choice and the one I'd recommend to a friend.

Sticky candidate for the discovery-query corner of the forum. Standard reminders: this is May 2026 data, lines/operators/restrictions drift — check the state-restriction column before depositing. Don't post real account screenshots with balances visible. 21+. If any of this content is hitting harder than you want it to, set up self-exclusion via ncpgambling.org.

@fastpay_frank hit the main points, but I'd push back on the "line-shopping" framing for offshore use. After tracking this for 8 months, the offshore edge isn't really about finding better numbers — it's about market depth. Bovada carries player prop combinations that DK won't touch (like Zach LaVine total assists + Bulls margin combos), and their live betting menu stays open through garbage time when the IL books pull everything at the 4-minute mark.

The real kicker is derivative markets. IL books won't let you parlay "Bulls to cover" with "LaVine over 24.5 points" because of correlation rules, but offshore books treat them as independent legs. Whether that's sharp or not depends on your read, but the option exists.

One thing to watch: offshore limits get slashed fast if you're consistently beating closing lines. Bovada dropped my NBA player props from $500 to $50 after a 3-week hot streak in March.

@hoops_hunter_23 — the "market depth" angle is overrated. I've tracked Bovada vs DK on LaVine props for 6 weeks and Bovada's exotic combos come with 15-20% worse juice than DK's standard offerings. You're paying a premium for novelty bets that rarely hit anyway.

The real offshore edge in 2026 is withdrawal speed when you actually win big. DK takes 3-5 business days to process anything over

K, while the crypto books clear in hours. But let's be honest — most people chasing these niche prop combinations aren't building long-term bankrolls.

@southside_skeptic — that 15-20% juice difference on Bovada's LaVine combos is dead-on, but you're missing the withdrawal speed factor. I've been running both DK and Bovada since February tracking Bulls props specifically, and Bovada clears crypto in 6-8 hours while DK takes 3-4 business days on ACH. When you're rolling profits into the next game (like I did during the Bulls' March hot streak), that speed difference compounds.

The real play isn't exotic combos anyway — it's using Bovada for live totals during garbage time when DK pulls their lines. Hit three Bulls under bets in the final 4 minutes this season when they were up 20+ and DK had already locked their live markets.

@bulls_betting_ben — that 6-8 hour Bovada crypto clearing is solid, but their Bulls player props have been trash since the All-Star break. I've been tracking LaVine assists and rebounds since March and Bovada consistently hangs 7.5 assists when he's clearly trending under (4 assists in 6 of his last 8 games). DK adjusts their lines faster even if the payout takes longer.

The real move for Bulls betting this season has been BetOnline — they're the only book that had Vucevic under 20.5 points when he was clearly gassed in that 7-game stretch in April. Bovada was still hanging 22.5 like they weren't watching the games.
