Periodic check-in — if someone asked me today "what's the best offshore sportsbook for a US player in 2026," here's my answer with the testing behind it.
I'm using three criteria, in this order:
- BTC payout speed under 30 min weekday median — if the book takes longer than that on a $250 settlement, it's a secondary book at best.
- No withdrawal-cap surprises — some books quietly cap weekly withdrawals at $2,500 unless you VIP-up. I've documented which ones in past threads.
- Stable through high-volume nights — books that crawl on MLB Sundays or NBA playoff Saturdays don't make the top of my list, even if their weekday numbers are good.
Numbers below are from May 2026 testing — same protocol as the payout-speed thread upstairs, expanded to include withdrawal limits and reliability scoring. This is May 2026 data, will drift, re-test before relying.
| Sportsbook | Best for | Notes | State restrictions |
|---|---|---|---|
| BetOnline | Overall recommendation for US players | Median 13 min BTC weekday, 48 min weekend. No withdrawal-cap surprises at $500-2000 levels. Stable through NBA Game 7 nights. The default answer to 'which offshore book.' | OK in IL, most US states. Verify in your state. |
| Voltagebet | Crypto-first stack | 6-11 min BTC, 2-4 min LTC. Smaller market depth but the cashier is the fastest in this cohort by a wide margin. Pair with BetOnline as your two-book stack. | OK in IL. |
| Sportsbetting.ag | BetOnline sister / line shopping | 14 min weekday BTC. Same parent group as BetOnline but the lines occasionally diverge by 5-10 cents on secondary markets, which is the line-shopping opportunity. | OK in IL. |
| BetAnything | F5 / quarter / prop depth | 22 min weekday BTC. Solid secondary book. Player-prop market is competitive. | OK in IL. |
| Thunderpick | Esports + NBA crossover | 8-min LTC settlement. Esports-first design but they take NBA, NFL, MLB action. Use if you want crypto-only and a different operator footprint. | OK in IL. |
| Everygame | Long futures | 27 min weekday BTC. Oldest book in the cohort, slow line movement = stale futures numbers occasionally available. Good third book for long-form action. | OK in IL. |
| BetUS | Marginal — only on line edge | 34 min weekday BTC, 2h+ weekend. Functional but not category-leading. Use only if their number is 5+ cents off consensus. | OK in IL. |
| Bovada | Largest market depth, restricted in many states | Massive prop menu and parlay builder but restricted in 16+ states. If you're not on the block list, worth having for prop diversity. | Restricted in: NY, NJ, NV, DE, MD, MI and others. |
| MyBookie | Backup only | 28 min weekday BTC, 2h+ weekend. Restricted in MI. Slower than the BetOnline group across the board. Use only if your primary books cap you out. | Restricted in MI. |
| BUSR | Horse racing primary | Restricted in MI. Primarily a horse racing operator with sportsbook attached. | Restricted in MI. |
The honest summary for US players in 2026: BetOnline as primary + Voltagebet as crypto-fast secondary covers 90% of use cases. Add Sportsbetting.ag if you want to line-shop across the BetOnline group. Add Bovada if your state allows it (huge prop selection if you're a parlay/prop bettor).
Things that have changed since my Q1 2026 read:
- BetOnline's weekend BTC has crept up vs Q1 (was 35 min median in Q1, now 48 min). Still acceptable but worth flagging.
- Voltagebet's LTC settlement is now the fastest in the entire offshore cohort — 2-4 min in my last six runs.
- BetWhale (not listed above) is now restricted in MI. If you're in MI, drop it from your stack.
- MyBookie's median weekday is fine but their weekend tail is worse than it was — saw a 3h 12min settlement on a Saturday evening $400 cashout last week.
Compliance reminder for US players: offshore books operate in a legal gray area in most US states. DK / FanDuel / Caesars are licensed in IL, NJ, NY, PA, MI and several other states — those should be your primary books for any meaningful action. The offshore stack above is for context on alternative markets where the offshore lines are sharper or the prop menu is wider. None of this is investment advice. 21+ only.
