PSA because I see this misconception monthly. Online RNG blackjack reshuffles after every hand. There's no count to keep. Basic strategy is the entire edge you have. Live dealer blackjack does shuffle from a real shoe but the cut card position eliminates the practical count advantage.

If someone tells you to count cards online they're either lying or confused.

+1. The only edge online is basic strategy + favorable rule sets. Side bets are entertainment, not strategy. House edge for properly-played blackjack is 0.5%; play that game. Just play basic strategy at a low-house-edge table — Ignition and Bovada both offer 0.5% house-edge single-deck blackjack online, which is honestly better than most Vegas strip tables right now.
